Playing Warrior

Warrior is the Strength-based melee class. Its kit moves from direct weapon strikes into spinning attacks, pulls and defensive shouts. Start with a reliable attack loop, then build around the skill you actually use most.

  • Physical melee attacks and area damage
  • Rage Shield and Iron Thorn defensive options
  • Whirlwind and Earthstrike build directions

A practical build starting point

  1. Use Valiant Strike and Flame Strike in the opening levels. Add Rage Shout when it unlocks at level 10.
  2. At level 15, compare Cleave with your existing basic attack and make room for Rage Shield if incoming damage interrupts your runs.
  3. Whirlwind unlocks at level 35. Eye of the Storm is the associated rune-set direction; compare a sustained run before replacing a working setup.
Patch 1.0.0g fixes Whirlwind continuing past collectible materials. If gathering stalls, update the game before changing your build.

Every skill unlock

Use the level requirement to plan your next change. Basic attacks, strong attacks and specials serve different roles in the combat loop.

Rune-set directions

  • Strong Shield of the Atheron
  • Eye of the Storm
  • Weight of the Mountain
  • Harvest Moon

Read each set’s thresholds alongside your equipped attacks. Test a complete rotation and its mana use before trading away the survivability of a working setup.

Make the build work unattended

Compare the same zone with similar run lengths. Track the whole session, including deaths and returns to town, so a short burst of damage does not hide a weaker farming loop.
