Match the commodity to your goal
These items arrive with patch 1.0.1. A Gold Bar turns into gold at a merchant, while a Consecration Stone is a required upgrade material. Keep stones intended for a planned item separate from inventory you clear for gold.

Three routes to a Gold Bar
Choose a route your character can repeat reliably. When comparing boss farming with fishing, record the time spent and the materials consumed, then count the Gold Bars actually obtained during comparable sessions.
- Defeat Mythic Rift bosses.
- Defeat zone bosses on Inferno difficulty.
- Fish at Veldak Sky Lake or Cinder Lake.
Consecration Stones come from Mythic Rift bosses
The announced farming source for Consecration Stones is Mythic Rift bosses. They are used for the two Enlightenment stages, each of which raises every stat on a +10 item by 5%.
If you plan to trade a stone, compare the current Auction offer with the value of your next equipment upgrade. Review the displayed transaction and item before confirming it.

All fish now stack to 99. Gold Bar has been added to the rewards at Veldak Sky Lake and Cinder Lake, and Flying Fish King Rein has a reduced drop chance. Keep the companion unlock separate from the Gold Bar objective when assessing a fishing session.

The game asks for confirmation when selling precious tradable runes or commodities, including with Sell All. Review the items being sold before accepting, especially if you are saving a Consecration Stone or Grand rune for your next build.
